Half of Brits got sunburnt this year
Wednesday, September 1st, 2010
Despite all the sun safety messages, half of Brits have got sunburnt this summer and many of them claim to be willing to do it again in order to get a tan, according to the results of a survey from Cancer Research UK and Superdrug.
The survey found that the most common place for sunburn during 2010 was on the face (40%), followed by the arms (39%), shoulders (37%) and neck (36%).
With sunburn being a major sign that the skin has been harmed, and it being known to increase the risk of skin cancer, getting sunburnt is a bit daft. So many sun protection products are on the market and it doesn’t take long to apply them to your skin.
